The Area
The Yonge and St. Clair Avenue area is a mix of midrise office, apartment and condominium towers coupled with busy street life and a generous mix of retail. It is surrounded by some of the wealthiest and highly desirable neighbourhoods in Toronto and also numerous parks and ravines. The node is served by the TTC’s St. Clair subway station, which tunnel divides the site and handles 40,000 riders daily and includes 6 bus lines as well as the St. Clair streetcar line. The Project presents a unique opportunity for a much needed rejuvenation of the area and a significant enhancement of its vitality, functionality and beauty.
The Site
The site is north of the Weston Centre complex, currently home to Weston family group of companies, fronting St. Clair Avenue East and comprises the whole of the Block extending north to Heath Street and east to Alvin Street. The Site has frontage on 4 streets including Yonge Street, Alvin Avenue, Heath Street and St. Clair Avenue East, when considering the Weston Centre, and is approximately 112,054 SQ.M in size.
